Phoenix CG has been working with privately held businesses and their owners on both internal legacy planning and external transition through private equity/sale. Most current advisors do not collaborate nor coordinate with each other especially with multiple parties in a transaction. Many advisors are transactionally oriented (“The deal”). Owning my own firm, I have spent my entire career working with HNW families, business owners and transactions. In fact, I ran a “virtual family office” for many families. Our focus in this space was one that is often ignored by many advisors; that is the coordination and collaboration of the team and family units toward Asset Protection and deal integrity. Most family offices only focus on the investment side or private equity side and not the legacy or the “what if something happens” or “concern over losing it all.”
